Alongside sustainability experts, Care Without Carbon, First Community is delighted to launch the ‘Care, Challenge, Share’ campaign, focussing on sustainability in the workplace. The campaign will ask colleagues to think about their role, their team and their department to help reduce carbon pollution and waste.
It also supports the delivery of actions in the organisations Green Plan and encourages all colleagues to play a part in tackling carbon pollution by applying the Care, Challenge and Share methodology.
Adrian Baillieu, Director of Finance & Resources is delighted to see the campaign launch and commented, “I’m really excited to see how this campaign will support us in our aim to create a more sustainable workplace.
“Having all colleagues fully engaged on sustainable healthcare is essential in our mission to become Net Zero by 2040.
“We’ve already made lots of progress towards our Green Plan and the Care, Challenge, Share campaign will act as a longer-term behaviour change programme to enable and empower our staff to turn knowledge into action.”
The campaign focusses on three key principles:
- Care: increasing awareness and knowledge by caring for people and the planet
- Challenge: focussing on taking action by challenging everyday habits and behaviours
- Share: sharing ideas, thoughts and experiences.
The campaign launched today and will be measured and evaluated as it progresses to monitor its impact in the workplace.
